What is the The Sound Cradle?
The Sound Cradle is a whole-body monochord. The strings are tuned to the same tone, thus one hears the many partials, i.e. overtones, creating a chorus-like carpet of sound as one strokes over all the strings. One can play on the left and on the right side, specifically individually, simultaneously or alternately. The spacing of the notes is a fifth (note A and A1 on one side and E and E1 on the other). The whole thing can be perfectly complemented with overtone singing. Mental, spiritual and physical blockages can be gently stimulated to dissolve.
